We’re a husband and wife duo who create informative content that makes sense of the video game industry: past, present and future.

Social Family Orientated Educated Optimistic Successful Socially Conscious

Our ultimate goal is to cultivate an environment in which our son and community can enjoy games the way we did so fondly in our youth while being safe and ethical.

We host live streams on Twitch and nurture a diverse community of gamers in our Discord server.

We also created, manage and run the PixelGum website with gaming news, research and our own Index: a resource for gamers and non-gamers alike to get the lowdown on the best and worst aspects of games and their developers. And we want to do even more.

Research consistently shows that gamers [do better](/content/gaming/2018/02/survey-video-gamers-are-more-social-optimistic-successful/index.html) in school, are more [social](/content/gaming/2018/02/survey-video-gamers-are-more-social-optimistic-successful/index.html) and [family orientated](/content/gaming/2018/02/survey-video-gamers-are-more-social-optimistic-successful/index.html), [optimistic](/content/gaming/2018/02/survey-video-gamers-are-more-social-optimistic-successful/index.html), [successful](/content/gaming/2018/02/survey-video-gamers-are-more-social-optimistic-successful/index.html) and [socially conscious](/content/gaming/2018/02/survey-video-gamers-are-more-social-optimistic-successful/index.html) than non-gamers. We celebrate this with our content, making it crystal clear what makes the games industry and gamers tick.

Our gaming journeys began back in the 8-bit era and we love reminiscing about growing up with classic games such as Tetris, Super Mario Bros, Sonic The Hedgehog, and more.

Our meet-cute happened online in 2003, got a cat in 2009, tied the knot in 2015, and we welcomed our beautiful son into the world in 2019. Now we’re in our thirties and live by the sunny south coast of England.

We started our creative careers in London: Aidan’s an award-winning digital genius with a background in web development, business management, and 3D design; Chorna’s been rocking it in digital communications, community management and creative writing in and out of the gaming industry.

Our first PixelGum TV stream went live on 15th August 2017, and today we work on PixelGum to make sure gaming stays fun and safe for everyone, including our growing son.
